dirty pretty thing’s postlibertine hangover…

dirty pretty things

Carl Barat, the good policeman from the libertines, the common sense of the Albion’s star duo is back. And he’s not alone, is accompanied by the former libertine, drummer Gary Powell. There’s no new stuff among their songs, they sound exactly like the libertines but they miss the feeling Pete Doherty contributed to the songs.

My favorite songs at the moment are, bang bang you are dead and gin and milk. Despite the CD is not spectacular, this Waterloo to anywhere deserves a few listenings, just only for remembering what the libertines could had been.

Better luck next time Carl…
